We collect limited personal data necessary for the proper operation of the 7Days ne’ma Diary Project. This includes:
1.1 Personal Information
- Name, nickname, gender, date of birth, and school information (school name, class, grade, and emirate)
- Student and guardian contact numbers
- Email address (for login and communication)
1.2 Activity Information
- Daily diary entries, including meal photos, food waste amount (in grams), donation logs, and comments
- Survey responses and quiz results
- Participation and engagement metrics (e.g., number of days logged, leaderboard performance)
1.3 Technical Information
- Device type and operating system (for compatibility and analytics)
- App usage data such as pages visited and time spent
Purpose of Data Collection
Your data is collected and processed only for the following purposes:
- To manage your participation in the 7Days ne’ma Diary Project
- To generate project reports and educational insights for schools and organizers
- To improve awareness around food waste and sustainability
- For project communication, analysis, and reporting to partner institutions
- For limited public relations and educational promotion (e.g., success stories, reports, or press materials)
Use of Photos, Videos, and Content
By participating in the 7Days ne’ma Diary Project, users (or their guardians) grant permission for photographs, videos, and submitted content to be used only for educational, public relations, and reporting purposes, including:
- Project websites and social media
- Printed or digital publications
- Presentations, reports, or promotional materials
Images will never be used for commercial purposes outside of the project scope.
Data Retention
Personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the project’s educational and reporting objectives. Afterward, identifiable information will be securely deleted or anonymized for statistical use.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of your personal information
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Request limitation or cessation of data usage

Security
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or loss. These include:

Children’s Privacy
The App is used primarily by students under school supervision. All accounts for minors are created and managed by teachers or school administrators, with parental or institutional consent obtained in advance.
Data Transfer
Data may be transferred securely between the UAE and Japan for project coordination, in accordance with applicable data protection laws and agreements between the partner organizations.
Updates to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new features or legal requirements. Any major changes will be communicated through the App or by official email notice.
