Emirates Foundation was established in 2005 by
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as a national
initiative to empower community and strengthen the social fabric of
our nation. Today, we stand as a catalyst for social transformation
—building a future where everyone in the UAE has the tools,
confidence, and opportunities to thrive.

We are more than a foundation—we are a movement for impact. Through
innovative programs and strategic partnerships, we tackle the UAE’s most

Takatof

Takatof

Takatof is one of the UAE’s leading volunteer programs, inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. Launched in 2007, the program aims to empower individuals to actively contribute to community service and strengthen the culture of volunteering across the country. Takatof offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities in diverse sectors, allowing volunteers to contribute their time, skills, and expertise. Through meaningful initiatives and projects, the program helps create positive, measurable, and sustainable social impact within communities throughout the United Arab Emirates.

Sanid

Sanid

Sanid is a specialized volunteer program dedicated to emergency response in the United Arab Emirates. Launched in 2009, the program was developed in accordance with internationally recognized best practices and standards. It aims to attract, unite, and train volunteers who demonstrate a strong sense of national and social responsibility, preparing them to respond effectively to emergencies at both local and international levels. Through structured training and coordinated efforts, Sanid strengthens national preparedness, supports effective crisis response, and promotes organized volunteerism and solidarity across the UAE.

The Volunteers.ae platform was launched in 2017 as the unified national volunteering platform in the United Arab Emirates, reflecting the belief that a nation’s strength is rooted in a community that values giving and humanitarian work. The platform aims to maximize social impact by offering diverse volunteering opportunities across all Emirates and enabling volunteers to participate through an integrated digital environment. Volunteers.ae connects volunteers with public and private sector organizations, streamlines search and registration based on interests and skills, and strengthens the culture of volunteering while positioning the UAE as a global role model in community engagement.
